LATIN AMERICAN WORKERS PROJECT

The Center for Social Inclusion is assisting the Latin American Workers Project (PTLA) to gather important data on its membership. PTLA is a membership-based non-profit organization located in Bushwick, Brooklyn , New York but conducting work in many communities. It works to create an environment in which Latin American and other immigrant workers advocate to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. PTLA helps workers organize themselves to demand fair working conditions and access to services, like healthcare.

CSI is working with PTLA to develop a database on its membership and to develop strategies to gather additional information on members and the communities they live in. CSI will use this information to identify and share policy reform and advocacy opportunities.
