As Development & Communications Coordinator, Zhaleh works closely with the Director of Communications and the Vice President of Marketing and Development to implement CSI’s fundraising, marketing, and digital strategies.
Zhaleh most recently worked in the executive and external relations departments at StoryCorps, a national oral history and media nonprofit in Brooklyn. She is deeply committed to promoting racial and gender equity across different spheres and has experience as a violence prevention educator, nonprofit consultant, policy advocate, and radio journalist. Zhaleh has been a co-producer of New York’s Asia Pacific Forum Radio Collective, and her independent media work has aired on Canadian and American radio, including CKUT 90.3 FM in Montreal and WBAI 99.5 FM in New York. She is also published in Refinery29.
Zhaleh holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She also earned a joint Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Middle East Studies from McGill University in Montreal.
