Information Gathered by CSI’s Site
In general, when you visit our Web sites you remain anonymous. We do not require you to register or provide personal information to us to view our site. We do not use persistent cookies on this site unless you use “Remember Me” or other similar functionality.
If you choose to make a donation or subscribe to our mailing list, we will collect personal information appropriate to the action you have taken. If you sign up to join a mailing list, we ask for your name, title, email address, city, state, and postal code. For online donations we also ask for your credit card information. Donations may be made anonymously for the purposes of public acknowledgment, but we require that you provide this personal information if you choose to make a gift online.
CSI may work with third-party sites to provide services and enhance the functionality of our site; we may allow access to personal information solely for the purpose of providing such services, and we do not endorse and cannot be responsible for such third parties’ use of visitors’ personal information and tracking data not in compliance with the terms of this Policy. Aside from service providers related to the function of this site, we will not share your personal information with any non-profit, for-profit organization or other entity, without express permission, except as required by law.
CSI employs industry standard security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Information required for the donation processes is encrypted through a Secured Socket Layer (SSL) connection, which protects the information in transit.
Although we make good faith efforts to store information collected by CSI in a secure operating environment, we cannot guarantee complete security. Information collected by CCR will be maintained for a length of time appropriate to our needs. However, we generally do not retain credit card information unless you choose to have us make automatic monthly withdrawals from your account for your donation.
