On November 20th, 2013, CSI Founder and President Maya Wiley lead the third and final community discussion on environmental justice, race and rebuilding in New York City one year after Hurricane Sandy. The conversion focused on Queens, specifically the Rockaways. She was joined by speakers Jeanne DuPont of the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, Executive Director of the Queens Museum Tom Finkelpearl, musician and performance artist Mazz Swift, City Planner from the Dept. of City Planning in Raleigh, NC Mitchell Silver, and Pratt Professor and renowned urban planner Ron Shiffman.
